⏲️ Read time: 2 minutes

On Wednesday, our taxi drivers took a break from the roads and stepped onto the cricket field for a friendly match against Derby County Community Trust. What followed was a day filled with camaraderie, competition, and community spirit.

The match wasn’t just about runs and wickets—it was about building connections. Our drivers, who work tirelessly to keep Derby moving, showed the same dedication and teamwork on the pitch as they do on the roads. The players from Derby County Community Trust brought their energy and enthusiasm, making it an unforgettable experience for all involved.

The spirit of the game was evident throughout—every boundary was celebrated, every good ball was appreciated, and every player, regardless of skill level, felt like a valuable part of the team. It was a reminder that sport has a unique way of bringing people together, breaking barriers, and fostering friendships beyond professional roles.

We are incredibly proud of our drivers for their passion, not just for their work, but for engaging with the local community in meaningful ways. Events like these highlight the values we stand for—teamwork, inclusivity, and community engagement.

A huge thank you to Lee Fearnley, Adam Woolley, Sharon Dale, and everyone from Derby County Community Trust for making this event possible. And, of course, a big round of applause to all the players who gave it their all on the field. We look forward to more such collaborations that strengthen the bonds within our community.
